5 Make-upproducts I can’t live without! ♥

Empties Feb, March 06

Hi everyone and welcome back on my blog! Today, I’ll be sharing the 5 make-upproducts I can’t life without. For me, as a make-upjunkie, this was really hard. But, I love the idea of this, so I wanted to make this blogpost for you! I hope you like it!

So making this blogpost took me actually a little while. It was super hard to choose the categories. Yes I’m doing categories, not products in particular. That would have been too hard for me! Maybe that will be a great idea for a future blogpost? Let me know if you’d like that! Also let me know any requests, improvements or also make-upproducts you can’t life without in the comments. I always love reading your comments!

So without any further ado, let’s start this blogpost girls!

Yes, mascara is the first thing I can’t life without! As I told several times before, I HATE my eyelashes. They always clump together and they are growing a bit downwards I think. They are also really hard to curl, so doing my mascara is a nightmare. But that all doesn’t stop me from putting on mascara. I think I look really tired without mascara, because my lashes are growing downwards. It makes my eyes look really small. So a eyelash curler is also a must for me! I think that one also belongs to this ‘mascara’-category!

Is there anyone who could life without a glow nowadays? I think every beauty-junkie, or even anyone who wears makeup, has at least one highlighter in their make-up collection. I put on a highlighter everyday I wear make-up (unless I forget it because it’s too early to even function well). Sometimes I put on a lot, to glow brighter than the sun, other days I want it to be a little more subtel. This sleek highlighting palette (picture above) is one of my favorites, especially that purple colour. Let me know what your favorite highlighter is in the comments!

I have to admit, I put foundation on almost everyday. But if I really have to choose between foundation and concealer, I’d pick concealer. I think if you put on concealer the right way, your skin can be really even already! That’s why I prefer to put only concealer on when I have a good skin day! My favorite concealer is the one from Catrice you see in the picture above! It’s super high coverage, super blendable AND super budgetproof!

I am pale. Super pale. And I need bronzer in my life to not look like a ghost. Really. A bronzer makes me look super alive haha. I also use it to shape my face a little bit! Oh and when I’m late, which is always, I put it in my crease to use it as an eyeshadow. I actually really love that look. I think it puts my whole face together when I use the same colour(s) on my cheekbones and on my eyes. I do that with my highlighter too. I put the same colour as on my cheeks also in my inner corner and under my browbone. As much as I love my eyeshadows, bronzer is just a bit quicker and easier to do in the morning!

Lipbalm is a real lifesaver for me. My lips get really dry sometimes, so I always carry a lipbalm around. The eucerin one (picture above) is my favorite. It really moisturizes my lips for a long time. I think lipbalms sometimes don’t moisturizes my lips that long. I don’t like having to put on lipbalm every half hour.

So these are the make-up things I CAN’T life without. It might come as a shock that I haven’t mentioned eyeshadow. I LOVE eyeshadow and I love to play with it. But as I mentioned, I use bronzer and highlighter as eyeshadow the most of the times. I’m always too late for everything so when I have to put on make-up quick, it is just much quicker to use bronzer and highlighter as eyeshadow.

So I am actually really curious about the make-upproducts you can’t life without. Let me know in the comments and I will see you on Friday with my new blogpost!

Much love, Anne ♥

  1. Hi Anne,
Labello Lip Balm is a must for me, mascara, bronzer and concealer. I actually am quite enjoying BB cream at the moment (using the Woolworths one, as there is no animal testing used) Have a great week 🙂 x

    1. I haven’t heard about woolworths but I’m going to do research after writing this reply! I also love bb creams for the summer times, but sometimes I just need some coverage! Concealer is just such a lifesaver on bad-skin-days! Thank you for stopping by Lynne, always love your comments! xo

      1. Woolworths is a large retail store here in South Africa, where they sell food and clothes, and their own beauty products. What is great about their products is no animals are used. Love your posts Anne, it is always a breath of fresh air to read your posts. x

  2. Brow pencil, eyeliner and eye shadows are must haves for me.. Feels like its almost everyday that a brand comes out with a new palette but their color scheme can be quite similar. Maybe you can do sth like your top 3 must-have palettes in your collection. That’ll be awesome to know❤️

    Love Vanessa

    1. You’re so right. There are so many good eyeshadow(palette)s on the market. Thank you for the request, that’s maybe a great suggestion for a blogpost. I’ll be thinking of doing it (I probably will, haha) Thank you for stopping by xo

      1. Yess that’ll be so helpful to see a compilation of different products so those tight on budget can make more informed decision (though i probably won’t be able to resist and still end up buying tons of them 😂).

        1. Haha true. I always watch those blogposts too. I always love to see favorites of people and when I see a product coming back often, I might try it out. I have to say that I am actually a low-budget kind of girl, so I always talk in my blogposts about cheap (but good) make-upproducts. I always try to help people who don’t have a big budget!!

          1. And makeup palettes can get quite pricey too if you are trying to keep up to date with the most recent releases! I’m so picky when it comes to spending on makeup so good alternatives that are more affordable is a big yes for me! Would love to read more on those ❤️

  3. Interesting to see the differences between what people can’t live without! Highlighter and bronzers are optional makeup items for me.
My 5 must-haves are: lip balm, concealer, brow pencil (I honestly look like an alien without brows!), liner and mascara. I feel my weakest features are my eyes so I need to help them along the best I can!

    1. I also think my eyes are the weakest feature. I have to admit (and not to be arrogant or something), with good makeup my eyes can look great. So that’s why I always prefer doing eye-makeup instead of lip-makeup. Great to here where you can’t life without! I have dark eyebrows myself, so I can life without eyebrowproducts, but when I can, I prefer to do my eyebrows every morning. That looks a bit prettier, I think! Thanks for stopping by 🙂

  4. Yes to every single one of these items! I for sure cannot live without all of it too. Especially concealer and mascara! Although now that it’s spring I’ve traded in the bronzer for some blush! Those highlighters are SO pretty! I’m in the mood to try out new ones and different colors. I only ever use my neutral toned one by Becca (which I love) but I love a pinkish tone like the one swatch all the way to the right on your hand. It’s so pretty and I bet it’s so good on too! And lip balm is always a must for me too all year long!

    1. Concealer, mascara and lipbalm are the most important of these 5 too! Since my cheeks are already a bit blushed itself, I don’t go for a blush everyday. But I love the look of putting blush on, so when I have a little more time, I’ll definitely add that. I think you should definitely try some pink highlighters out. I think they look lovely (for spring)! xo
