Summer is over..

Heyhey! I’m writing this on the last day of my summer vacation. I’m starting my first internship tomorrow and I just need to tell you about my summer vacation, the plans for my blog and my upcoming internship first!

My summer vacation

So, my summer vacation started at the beginning of July. I had a couple of days free between my last exam and my trip to Berlin. I actually told you everything about Berlin in my last blogpost! (you can read it here) This was one of the most amazing trips ever, that’s why I’m thinking of going back soon again. I’m even thinking of doing a semester of my study in Berlin (or another city in Germany). Anyways, I went to Berlin for the first 3 weeks of my summer vacation and it was a lot of fun!!

After I came back, I stayed at home for 1 week. It was very hot in The Netherlands that week, so I didn’t do a lot that week. I went swimming with my sister and we went to a lot of places with air conditioning, like the cinema haha. We couldn’t do a lot with that heat.

Then it was time to go on a vacation with my parents! First my sister and I went to Paris by ourselfs for 3 days. We went by train and it was quite an adventure. We saw a lot like the sacré-coeur, the Eiffel tower, the Notre Dame, the Champs Élysees, the Arc de Triomphe and much more! After that, we went to the south of France, to Nice! We also went by train and that was super cool!

We stayed in Nice with our parents for 10 days. Nice was a very cool city that is located near the sea, so we could cool off at any time! We went shopping in Nice, we ate a lot of good food, we went to the beach and we saw some other cities like Saint Tropez, Sainte Maxime and Monte Carlo (Monaco). I actually posted a lot of pictures of my vacation on my instagram!

My upcoming internship

I already mentioned my internship at the beginning haha, but I want to tell you a little more about it! As many of you know, I am currently studying Finance & Control. With this study, I can become a financial manager or something in that direction. There is also an internship built in my study, that is something every student has to do. Mine is starting this September and it is for 20 weeks long, so that means I will be done around the end of January. I choose to do an internship at an accountancy office, to see if I like that. I choose it because I feel like the work is very diverse there, and since I’m not sure what I want to become after my study, I have the opportunity to see and learn a lot of things there. I’m super excited to start my internship, but also very nervous because this will be my first time having a ‘real job’.

What’s happening with my blog?

This internship will take a lot of my time. It actually means that I will be having a full time job for the upcoming weeks. I’ve been thinking a lot about what I want to do with this blog. I started it as a beauty-blog, and even though I’m still very interested in beauty, I feel like a new chapter for my blog is starting. I like it more as an outlet for my thoughts. I feel like I’ve been using this blog as an outlet for the last months, but now I’m officially telling it on here. I will make blogposts about my life, what’s going on, my experiences, my trips and I will definitely add some beauty posts every now and then. I hope you still like to follow me on my journeys through life. At least you know a little bit of what you can expect the upcoming time on my blog here!

Anyways, I’d love to know a little bit of your life too! What have you been doing this summer and what are you going to do after this summer ends? I’d love to hear it in the comments below or you can always DM me on instagram

See ya soon! Love, Anne ♥
